04 — Motherhood

Motherhood nutrition: Nourishment & care.

From planning a pregnancy to feeding a family, this stage asks a lot of you. Food here is about nourishment and care — for you first, and then for everyone who eats from your kitchen.

What changes in this stage

Your body asks different things of food.

  • Needs shift, stage by stage

Fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and lactation each change what your body asks of food.

  • Time and sleep shrink

Plans that need a quiet hour don’t survive this stage. Simple, repeatable meals do.

  • One kitchen, many plates

Your meals, a baby’s first foods and the family’s dinner can come from the same pot.

What we help with

Support for each chapter.

  • Pregnancy nourishment, trimester by trimester — alongside your obstetrician
  • Postpartum recovery meals, including the traditional foods your family swears by
  • Lactation-friendly everyday meals

Questions

For this stage.

Who do you work with?

Everyone. Our depth in women’s health — PCOS, pregnancy, menopause — stays, and alongside it we work with men’s hormone health, children’s nutrition and whole families. If you eat, you’re welcome here.

Do I have to give up my regular food?

No. Dal, roti, idli, curd and rice are the foundation, not the problem. We work with what your kitchen already cooks and make small adjustments that add up.

Are you a dietitian?

No. Mrs. Mudavath Shirisha is not registered as a dietitian. Her study so far: Food Science and Technology, GITAM University (2025). Currently pursuing Nutrition and Dietetics at MNR University. We’re clear about scope: nutrition guidance alongside your doctor, never instead of them.
